A Day at Pegasus

Goal Oriented Learning

Each person shapes their own day centered around long and short term personal goals, health and relationships.

Life Skills

Social coaching to develop independence and confidence when navigating the world.

Specialize Programming

Access to workshops from skilled instructors. Activities may include art, yoga, drama, and more.

Technology

Access to tablets and computers as a means of communication, learning, or recreation.

Exploration

Opportunities to broaden horizons by exploring areas of the city, and visiting museums, theaters, galleries, and more.

Sensory Library

A large library of sensory activities to suit all needs.

Fitness and Wellness

Promotion of healthy living through food and movement. Encouragement of personal and emotional growth.

Community Participation

Opportunities to contribute to our community in exciting ways. Examples include helping maintain public gardens, volunteering at events, or doing meaningful work at a job.

Staffing

All program staff are well-trained and educated, with current vulnerable sector police checks. In addition to mandatory training (CPR, First Aid, Safe Management/CPI), they receive intensive on-site training on each individual’s needs, and respectful and sensitive supports.

Pegasus Staff strive to provide the respectful treatment of people, underlying of the AODA and Quality Assurance Measures. They actively embrace QAM and encourage participants to do the same on their own behalf.

Pegasus can also be accessed on a Passports/fee for service basis.

Fees

Pegasus participants pay a fee for their service. The rest of the costs are covered by partial funding from the Ministry of Community and Social Services, and a great amount of fundraising and private donations.

Fee amounts are deteremined at intake. Please call 416-691-6835 to contact intake.

Pegasus is a 100% not for profit agency. Fees collected are used to cover the operating expenses of the programs.
